BRAD CHARCHENKO
HEAD COACH brad@lakevillenorthtrap.com ![]() Coach Brad is in his ninth season as the Panthers Head Coach. His passion and commitment to youth sports can be seen by his involvement with coaching various Lakeville youth sports for over a decade. Hockey, soccer, softball, baseball, track and field and now trapshooting. Coach Brad is CLASS Certified from the USA High School Clay Target League, NRA/ATA Shotgun Coach Level 1 Certified and a DNR Certified Firearms Safety Instructor. On the line, Brad is helping our shooters fine tune their skills as we help develop them into accurate and consistent trap shooters. An avid clay shooter, Coach Brad's focus is ensuring a safe environment and providing each athlete with the feedback and instruction they need to succeed.
![]() Coach "Crip" grew up hunting with his dad and grandfather, and is proud to be part of a unique opportunity to share shooting sports with LN students. Crip's goal is to provide each student with a safe, positive, and fun experience that they will carry with them for many years to come. Crip is proud to be entering his eighth season with the team.
![]() Shayne began volunteering with the Lakeville North Trap team during the 2013-14 school year and officially joined the Core Team as a Squad Coach during the Spring 2017 Season. Shayne is a Certified NRA Level 1 Shotgun Coach and a NRA member. He is also a member of Dakota County Gun Club and a trained Range Safety Officer for the Club. He has been handling and shooting firearms of all types most of his life and participates in several outdoor activities which include hunting, fishing, camping and gardening. Shayne is committed to providing guidance for our athletes so that they can continue to improve their scores and reach their clay target goals.
Dave stepped up and joined our Core Team in 2018 as the teams Fundraising Coordinator. He is focused and determined to help the team offset its operating expenditures by reaching out to our existing donors as well as cultivating new relationships for financial support.

![]() Retired with 25 + years in the United States Air Force, Coach Kelly currently holds ATA/NRA Shotgun Coaching Level 1 and NRA Range Safety Officer Certification. A 1979 graduate of Lakeville High School, he enjoys the outdoors having been introduced to shooting and hunting at the age of 11 by his father. He enjoys the opportunity to help the shooters learn, expand and widen their knowledge of shooting sports, good sportsmanship and the responsibility of safety that goes with it, while having a fun and enjoyable experience that they can carry with them for the rest of their lives. Jeff is in his eighth season.
![]() Gregg’s early enjoyment of the outdoors introduced him to firearms at a young age. This shaped his career by enrolling in a 2 year Gunsmithing Program in Trinidad, CO, followed by 8 years as a Custom Gunmaker. He is an avid hunter pursuing big game across much of North America. Currently that focus is on waterfowl and upland birds in southern Canada and Upper Midwest with his two Chesapeakes. Gregg enjoys coaching the LN Panthers Trap athletes helping to develop safe, effective shooting skills to enjoy for a lifetime.
Jay is a Burnsville High School graduate and received his Law Enforcement degree while living in Rochester, MN. He was a Detention/Deputy Sheriff for Olmsted County for 7 years and is currently working as a Project Manager for a security systems integrator in Burnsville. Jay enjoys shooting, hunting, camping and dirt biking year round. Jay is very excited to be a part of the Core Team and looks forward to helping all athletes achieve everything they want out of this sport.
Leslie began her role as the team treasurer in 2017. She brings several years of experience serving as a treasurer with many other local organizations. She has been instrumental in setting our business structure and organizational direction. Leslie enjoys watching her boys compete with the team.
